KETTRING. On the 9th of February, 1832, in Harrison township, Henry county,Ohio, Daniel Kettring, aged 26 years, 1 month and 16 days. His affliction was brief but severe.

Kind and affable in disposition, dignified in manners, moving in the best society, brave and yet modest, and possessing a large amount of kindness of heart, he drew around him a large circle of friends. Those who knew him best esteemed him most. The community feel their loss, which was expressed by the large number who gathered to witness the funeral services to show how highly they esteemed him. He leaves aged parents who expected his support while age and infirmity was gathering about them; he leaves brothers and sisters who loved him dearly and tenderly. But there was one whose heart beat in close unison with his, the friend of his youth; with grief depicted in her countenance and sadness filling her heart.
