Obituary: From the Tiffin News. Death of John Kagy. Hon. Isaac Kagy, of Eden township, received a telegram Monday announcing the death of his father, Mr. John Kagy, at Iuka, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. John Kagy resided in Eden township, but went to Illinois last November to attend a family reunion and concluded to make their home during the winter with their daughter, Mrs. Huddle, at Iuka. They were writing to their friends in Seneca county occasionally, and the last heard from them, previous to the telegram announcing the death of Mr. Kagy, they were well and enjoying life as well as could be expected as both Mr. and Mrs. Kagy were nearly ninety years old. The deceased was an old pioneer of Seneca county and has been a resident of Eden township for many years. By frugality and industry he accumulated a snug little fortune and has of late years been enjoying the fruits of his earlier labors. The remains were brought back to Ohio Wednesday and Thursday were interred in the Kagy cemetery on the Kagy farm in Eden township. The subject of the above is the grandfather of Mrs. Dr. J. S. Haley, of this city. |
