Obituary:

Death of an Episcopal Minister
From the Maumee River Times, Aug. 3
Among the victims [of cholera] in this place, we are pained to announce the Rev. MARK JUKES, and also Mrs. Jukes. Mr. Jukes was the pastor of the Episcopal Church here, and during his residence among us, had won the esteem of all, for his devotedness to his calling, his urbane piety, and truly christian deportment. His estimable lady, Mrs. Jukes, was also greatly respected in the large circle of her friends and acquaintances. The deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Jukes will be deeply felt in our community.
The citizens of Napoleon received the intelligence of the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Jukes with profound regret. During the past year, he has preached several times here and at Defiance, and was, as a man and a minister, universally esteemed.
