New Bavaria, Feb. 15. The family of James Jackman has of late been sorely afflicted by disease and death. All last autumn Mr. Jackman had been confined to his bed, and upon his having recovered, his children took sick, the youngest of which died a few weeks ago. To make the cup of sorrow full to the brim , Mrs. Jackman took sick also, and now comes the sad report that the mother has also succumbed. It is indeed very sad for a father to lose his darling little ones and loving wife within a short fortnight. Kind friends have done and continue to do everything in their power to help the stricken father and husband to bear his burden with christian resignation. The funeral of Mrs. Jackman took place yesterday from the Catholic church amidst a very large assembly of friends.
