Friends will be pained to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. J. H. Hurd at Chicago, which sad event occurred on the 10th inst. Mrs. Hurd is better known as Elma Richards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Richards, now of Hutchinson, Ka., and was for a number of years a resident of Napoleon, where she grew from childhood to womanhood She has hosts of friends in Napoleon who regret her untimely death, and who extend sympathy to her stricken husband and parents. The particulars of her death are unknown, as the above facts were gleaned from a dispatch received by Samuel Martin, an uncle of the deceased.
