Obituary: Mrs. Margaret Heller died at the residence of her son-in-law Dr. J. M. Shoemaker, on last Monday morning, in the 84th year of her age. Grandmother Heller, as most everybody knew her, had been ailing for some time and was continually growing weaker, especially since her severe fall downstairs a year or so ago. She leaves a large circle of relatives, including several great grand-children. She is the mother of Hon. A. M. Heller, W. L. Heller, Mrs. J. M. Shoemaker and Mrs. D. W. Shoemaker, of this place. She was a devout Christian mother and was a member of the Presbyterian Church, where she will be greatly missed. The funeral services were held at the residence of Dr. Shoemaker on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. M. L. Donahey, assisted by Rev. Bates. Her remains were taken to Van Buren, Hancock county, on Tuesday evening, where they were laid beside those of her husband, who had proceeded her to that other and brighter world many years before. She had been a resident of Napoleon twenty-five years. |
