FATAL AFFRAY - A fatal affray has occurred in Richfield township, this county, the full particulars of which we have been unable to learn, but give the facts as we have heard them. On last Saturday evening, at about 6 o'clock, two neighbors by the name of LEWIS and HATCH got into a dispute as to the right to pass over a piece of land, and from quarreling they went to fighting, during which LEWIS drew a knife, stabbing and cutting HATCH in a most frightful manner, from the effects of which he died. We understand considerable excitement was occasioned in the neighborhood over the murder. LEWIS has been arrested and is now in jail at this place awaiting the testimony before the grand jury. The murdered man was aged about 30; LEWIS about 55.
