HARTMAN John H. Hartman was born September 1st, 1855, and died September 10th, 1890; he was married to Amanda Sworden March 7, 1880. He leaves a wife, three sons and one daughter, all of whom are left with their mother to morn his loss; he also leaves an aged father, one sister and three brothers. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Miller at the Freedom Church,

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

God, in his wisdom has recalled,
The boon this love has given,
And though the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in Heaven.
