New Bavaria

Peter Harrig, an old gentleman of 86 years, was found dead in the rear of his house, by his daughter-in-law Mrs. Elchinger. He had of late years become somewhat eccentric, and chose rather to live alone than in the family of his daughter-in-law, especially during the summer season. He was, however, well cared for in his seclusion by Mr. and Mrs. Elchinger. An inquest was held by Peter Punches, J. P. of Marion township the same day, and on the following day the burial took place from ther Catholic church.
