HAROLDEliza, wife of Simon Harold, was born Sept. 25th, 1830, in Fairfield county, Ohio, and died August 6th, 1691, aged 51 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was married to Simon Harold on Oct. 31st, 1858. The result of their union was twelve children, seven having preceded her to the spirit world, and five still living. In 1831, she with her husband moved to Henry county, Ohio. A few years after moving to this county she untied with the Church of Christ of the Christian Union, in which she always was a faithful member. Her home was a place where the Christian minister was always made welcome. She lived a consistent Christian life and died in the triumph of a living faith. On the 2d of August she attended communion services near McClure, It being her chief desire to keep in perpetual remembrance the sufferings and death of Christ. She seemed well as usual, when on Monday a physician was called and everything skillful and loving hands could do was done, but to no effect. Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. W. Foltz, on Sunday, Aug. 9th, at the Calvary Church, which was largely attended, after which her remains were reverently laid away in the cemetery nearby, to await the resurrection morn. She leaves the companion of her youth, two daughters, three sons, seven grandchildren and many friends to mourn their loss.
