DIED -- Near Florida, Sept. 16th, 1881, Miss Flora Elisabeth, daughter of John and Catherine Hammon, aged 19 years, 1 month, and 27 days. This is the first death in the family consisting of eight boys and three girls. Mr. and Mrs. Hammon are among the pioneers of this vicinity, having resided here for the past forty years. Funeral at independence in the M. E. church, Rev. Diemer, of the German Lutheran church officiating both in German and English. The remains were deposited in the Independence cemetery, in presence of a large concourse of relatives and sympathizing friends.
