Obituary:

Death of Mrs. S. M. Hague: On Saturday night last, after a long illness and much patient suffering, the spirit of Mrs. S. M. Hague took its flight back to its maker. Mrs. Hague was a lady dear to the hearts of her associates, and was loved by all for her motherly and lovable character, having the faculty of winning as friends those coming in contact with her. Highly educated and of a jovial disposition, she was an ornament to society and the community in which she lived, and will be one much missed from among the living. And, being one greatly attached to her home and family, here she will be sadly and tearfully missed. for she was a kind and indulgent mother, the idol of husband and children. Her funeral took place on Tuesday, from the M, E, Church, the services being conducted by Revs. Campbell and Donahey, in the presence of a large concourse of friends and neighbors. The funeral was rendered doubly sad by the fact that Miss Lallah could not attend, on account of illness. She has been confined to the house for a number of weeks and is just convalescing from a severe illness. Her many friends hope for her speedy recovery and extend condolence in her great bereavement. Sympathy is also extended to the bereft husband and sons. The floral offerings to the memory of the departed were most beautiful; silent messengers of the esteem in which Mrs. Hague was held by friends and acquaintances.
