Obituary: From South Chicago Free Press. Death of Henry Goachee. Henry Goachee, a laborer employed for several years past at the B. & O. roundhouse, died suddenly on Monday last, as it is supposed, in a fit of apoplexyHe was taken suddenly ill while at work, complaining of severe internal pains, and was removed to the oil house by some of his fellow workmen, who supposed he would soon recover. Later in the day some of the workmen entered the house and discovered that Goachee was dead. The police having been notified, the body was removed to the morgue, and afterwards to the residence of Octave Chapleau, at the corner of Superior avenue and 80th street, where Goachee had boarded. Chapleau, like Goachee, was of French nationality, and as a mark of respect for his fellow countryman, he ordered a handsome burial outfit, and on Tuesday the funeral took place from his residence. The remains were taken to St. Patrick's church, followed by a numerous escort of the fellow workmen of the deceased, including a large delegation of L. A. No. 10, 120 K. of L. of which deceased was a member. After the usual services at the church, conducted by Rev. Father Von de Laer, the remains were escorted to the depot and shipped to Napoleon, O., where the relations of deceased reside The following RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT have been handed us for publication: At a special meeting of L. A. No. 10,120, K. of L., held on November 14, 1887, the following resolutions were adopted: Whereas, It has pleased the Supreme Master Workman of the universe to take from us our brother, Henry Goachee, and whereas, we deem our loss to be his gain, therefore Resolved, That the members of this assembly extend to the bereaved relatives and friends of deceased our heartfelt sympathy in their hour of affliction. Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be presented to the brother and sister of the deceased, and also be entered on the minutes of this assembly, and a copy of the same be printed in the Chicago Daily and Sunday Free Press.
