Obituary:

Mr. Frederick, the young fireman who met his untimely death on the B. &. R. R. in the wreck at Republic, Ohio, was a young man of this vicinity. He was industrious, upright and a worthy young man, loved by all who knew him. His funeral took place on Wednesday, the remains being followed to the grave by a large concourse of friends and relatives. He was buried in the Cole graveyard. Peace be to his ashes.

William, thou hast left us in this vale so lone and dreer,
And although we're ailed with sadness, made to shed the bitter tear,
Yet amid this night of rays of hope our spirits cheer;
Soon will come the bright we will no longer hunger here.
