Obituary: FINK Mrs. Hattle C. Fink, daughter of Mary A. Putt, died at the home of her mother in Napoleon, Ohio, Sunday morning, August 24th, 1890 at 4:25, of Inflammation of the stomach, aged 45 years and 24 days. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. T. Campbell, after which her remains were quietly laid away in Glenwood cemetery. Hattie, as she was familiarly called by her many friends and acquaintances, had for a number of years been a great sufferer of a complication of diseases which baffled all medical science, under which she bore up without a murmur, claiming as she did, that if there was no cure for her on earth there was a lasting one in heaven. She was confined to her bed but a few days, her sufferings being intense, but at no time did she hesitate to talk of that Beautiful Land. When asked if she was willing to leave this world of pain and sorrow, her answer was "Yes, Glory be to God, I have a home in Heaven," and calling her friends to her bedside she earnestly beseeched them to meet her there. A few hours before the messenger of death entered her chamber, her power of speech had left her and took its flight to warn the loved ones gone before of the coming of a daughter and sister, and often her hand was raised in the attitude of prayer, and beckoning to those that she would soon join. A peaceful smile settled upon her countenance, her hands folded to her breast, and her soul took it flight to that Land from whence it came. Hattie had for a number of years been a faithful member of the United Brethren Church and died in the full belief of a redeeming love. In her death the church lost a true and devout christian, a mother a loving daughter, two brothers and two sisters a kind and loving sister. May she rest in peace.
