Obituary:

Resolutions of respect reported to and adopted by Choate Post, 66, G. A. R. April 15, 1892: Again it has pleased the Grand Commander of the Universe to summon from our ranks recruits for the army on the other shore. Comrade Daniel Duval, who served in Co G, 38 Ohio from Sept 5, 1861 to June 7, 1865, and who was mustered into Choate Post June 3, 1881, and Comrade Michael Feeney served in Co. F, 68th Ohio from Oct. 7, 1861 to Oct 29, 1865, and was mustered into this Post May 25, 1888. As they were good and true soldiers, so were they respected citizens and kind husbands and fathers, No more will they respond to the gavel of the Post Commander. No more will their cheery voices be heard at our camp fires and reunions. The turmoils of this life are for them no more. They have gone where joy and peace have supplanted the trials and sufferings of active service. Our loss is their gain. Resolved: That this Post extend to the bereaved families of our late comrades its warmest sympathy, Resolved, That as a mark of respect to the memory of our departed Comrades the Post Hall be draped in morning for 30 days, and that a copy of these resolutions be furnished the Napoleon newspapers for publication.
