ELLIS -- W. F. Ellis died at Joplin, Mo., on January 7, 1881, of consumption, aged 37 years, 8 months and 29 days.
Mr. Ellis was formerly a resident of Henry county, having lived near Liberty Center. In October, 1863, he enlisted in Co. D., 68th Regiment, O. V. I. He contracted camp diarrhea while in the army, which culminated in pulmonary consumption and his death. His funeral took place on the morning of the 11th of January, near Odin, Marion county, Ill.
