EISWilliam Grover Eis, son of William and Elizabeth Eis, born July 15th, 1886, died of spinal fever May 21, 1888, aged 1 year, 9 months and 17 days. This was the first darling child taken form this family of six children; short was Grover's stay with us, but how loved was he, it was hard to say good bye, little Grover. For he was a bright jewel in this family, too good for this earth's chilling storms; he has gone to a more congenial clime to lift heavenward the very hearts that broke at his farewell; thus the little jewel passed away so early to make heaven fairer and sweeter with his immortal bloom. May God bless and sustain this bereaved family and bring them to that rest where no farewell tear is shed to enjoy the company of their dear little Grover.
