OBITUARY. Edwards -- Caroline A. Edwards died at her father's house Aug. 14, 1884, aged 24 years, 1 month and 14 days. Was married Oct. 4th, 1877, to George Kile; was the mother of three children, two of whom are dead. She leaves a husband and one daughter, little Annie, and a father, mother one sister and five brothers, to mourn her loss.

To the memory of Callie.

Darling Callie we have lain thee
In thy narrow bed to rent,
Ne'er more to hear thy calling
Till we're remembered with the blest.

Thou art gone from ont the household,
And we'll ever miss thee there,
But the shining hope within us
Tells of a meeting bright and fair.

Yes, the Lord has taken our loved one,
With him, to reign forever more;
Where angel brothers and sisters
Have preceded here years before.

The last prayer on earth's been offered,
All thy afflictions now are o'er,
Jesus excused thee as requested,
When from suffering you could pray no more.

Father and mother miss thee Callie,
As the empty clothes they see;
Ever reminding them of the loved ones,
Who oft has played upon their knee.

Lay away the dresses,
That our darling used to wear;
For we all do miss bright Callie,
When we see the vacant chair.

We all hope at least to meet her,
When life's trials here are done;
In Our Father's shining mansion,
Where afflictions never come.
