Obituary:

Monday morning between twelve and one o'clock, Mrs. Celia Durbin, one of Napoleon's old and highly respected citizens passed from this earth to the realms above after being confined to her bed for the past 10 days from pneumonia, superinduced by grippe, at the age of 54 years. Mrs. D. was of that peculiarly kind and lovable character which marks the grandest type of womanhood, with a kindly smile and tender word for everybody a good and pure life. She was laid to rest in Forest Hill cemetery Tuesday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Seddlinger, mourned by all in her death, as she was loved by all during life. The loss of such characters as that of Mrs. Durbin, can hardly be replaced. She was a kind and affectionate mother and sister, a tender and loving neighbor, and her highest thought and aim in life was to make those about her happy, and fulfill the highest ambition of a perfect womanhood. The example of this good woman will last with those who knew her as long as memory itself. She leaves a son and one sister to mourn their loss.
