Friends were pained to hear of the death of Wm. Dills, which sad event took place at his home in Defiance county Monday night. He died of dropsy and was sick a long time. He was in the 57th year of his age and leaves a wife and several children to mourn their loss. Mr. Dills was for a long time a resident of this county, being an active democrat and well known throughout the county. Several years ago he moved to Defiance county, at Independence, where he had a farm and ran a restaurant. The community in which he lived elected him Justice of the Peace last fall, a position for which he was well qualified.
