Harriet L. Crockett died at the home of her sister-in-law Mrs. C. H. Crockett, March 25th. aged 27 years, 8 months and 27 days. Her disease was the same that robbed her brother of life on Sept. 6th, 1887, consumption. Patiently she lingered a little over six months after the decease of her brother Clarence, then like him, peacefully passed from time to a blessed eternity. Hers was a short, but a beautiful life, because she was possessed of a meek and quiet spirit which we read is in the sight of the Lord of great price. Her remains were followed by a sorrowing community through the rain to the brick church in Harrison township, where the Rev. Spreng, of Napoleon conducted the funeral services without any embarrassment since she was and is the child of the great king. A model christian, a perfect lady, and one whom Heaven gladly owns. ' Let me die the death of the righteous.'
