Friends in Damascus township and vicinity are grieved at the death of Mrs. Maud Cooper which occurred at Colorado Springs, Col., Saturday, the 14th inst. The remains were brought home to McClure and interred in the Hockman graveyard last Saturday. Funeral services were held in the United Brethren Church, Revs. Shelter and Myers in charge of the ceremonies. Mrs. Cooper was a daughter of David Weaks, of McClure, and was married to Mr. Cooper about a year ago. She was in the 24th year of her age and leaves a husband and one child two weeks old.
