Lois (Cleveland) Comstock was born June 18, 1820, in Pawlet, Rutland county, Vermont, and died October 11, 1891, at Ridgeville Corners, Henry county, O.. aged 71 years, 3 months and 21 days. Her funeral services were held in the Congregational church at Ridgeville Corners, October 14 by Rev . O. F. Laughbaum, pastor of the church, who was assisted by Revs. Fisher, Candee and Bacon, of ToledoShe was married to William Comstock May 1, 1839. They were blessed with three children, two daughters and one son. The children are still living, but the husband proceeded the wife to the spirit land. She suffered patiently throughout the summer, and as she became physically weaker her faith in Jesus became stronger. she was not demonstrative but possessed the fruits of the spirit. Death found her in readiness to depart and ever be with the Lord. The peaceful expression of her face as she lay In the casket said, "all Is well." Her last words were, "Come Jesus, come quickly. Farewell."The grace of God sustains the afflicted family as they await the summons to come home.
