Last Sunday morning at 6 o'clock, Mrs. Elizabeth Clear, or as she was commonly called, Old Mother Clear, was called to her eternal home after a sojourn of 88 years and 5 months in this vale of tears and sorrow. Thls esteemed and honored lady had lived on the old homestead for over 40 years, in fact the Clear family were the first settlers of the eastern part otfPleasant township. The deceased came here with her husband, who has gone years before to prepare a better home for his earthly helpmate, and a large family of boys and girls when there was not a sign of improvement started yet; there was no road for miles and miles around, except what they blazed in moving here. What she has underwent no one has any conception of unless he has went through the same school. Her toil is ended. She leaves several children, grand children and great grand children to mourn her loss, and a large circle of friends. Requiescat in pace.
