CHAFFIN. Died, at Hutchinson, Reno Co Kansas, March 14, 1890, Dr. G. Chaffin in his 86th year. Dr. Chaffin was born in Union, Lincoln county, Me., Oct. 10, 1804, went to Ohio in 1811; in Wayne county commenced practicing medicine in 1832, continued the practice of medicine until 1872; a number of these years he with his family lived in Hancock county. In 1830 he was married to Miss Diadamie Pancoast, with whom he lived for years. Dr. Chaffin moved to Napoleon, Henry county, Ohio, in 1871; resided here until 1875, when his wife died, after which he made his home with his youngest daughter, Mrs. L. A. Bigger, Hutchinson, Kansas. He leaves a son, three daughters and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.
