Casteel - Died. Thomas Casteel, at his residence in Harrison township, on March 21, 1883, aged 43 years, 11 months and 21 days. Mr. Casteel was born tin Coshocton county, O., March 31, 1845, and was married to Miss Angie Hayes, June 27, 1874. He moved to Henry county. O., in September of the same year. He leaves a devoted wife, three children, an aged mother, two sisters and one brother.

His death had been expected for some time. When it did occur it was a shock to all, and words of regret and sympathy could be heard from the lips of all.

Mr. Casteel had been ailing for many years and in hopes of improving his health visited the far west, but returned no better. He endured his suffering with fortitude, patiently awaiting the summons. He had been for a number of years an energetic and valuable citizen; having held public trust and the full confidence of the people. His funeral took place on Sunday morning from the Lemert church, Rev. A. M. Wilford officiating. A large circle of relatives and friends paid their last tribute of respect to his earthly remains.

To his wife and children in this the hour of their sorrow, the community extend their sincere sympathy.
