Obituary: DEATH Stalks Forth and Ciaims a Victim of Charles Bruner All Napoleon was startled and grieved Friday morning to learn of the death of Obarles Bruner at Defiance, which occurred at 10:30 o'clock. The fight between Mr. Bruner and the unseen, though potent monster, Death, was protracted and wearisome one, For many months the deceased had kept up the uneven fight, he being a victim of Bright's disease, and it was only after the most heroic struggle that he succumbed. Mr. Bruner was a young man of unusual brightness and his prospects were of the very best. Only 34 years of age, his life terminated at a time when it could best have observed the interests and happiness of both himself and others. For years he has been the leading man in the Bruner hoop factory of which he was one of the partners, and this concern will greatly miss his guiding hand. The funeral ceremony was held from the Presbyterian church in Defiance, Sunday afternnoon, Rev. Slagle in charge. Many Napoleonites testified respect by attending. |
