BRUBAKERRobert L. Brubaker, infant son of Alfred K. and Florence Brubaker, was born December 23, 1887, died December 7, 1888, aged 11 months and 14 days, this is the second child taken from the family in a little over two years past; the sadly bereaved parents have sweet hope in the death of their loved ones. Little Robert and Cora Estella have gone to sing with the angels. and while their precious babies sleep side by side in the grave the immortal spirits are reunited in the home beyond. Little Robert was a lovely flower in the garden, but the frost of disease came with a destructive fury that the physicians skill could not stay and the flower faded from human sight yet the eye of faith sees in the garden of God.

Clasp the dimpled hands
Upon the silent breast,
Gently close the sightless eye
Dear Robert is at rest.

In that better home beyond,
From pain and sin set free,
Robert will sing a sweeter song,
And there the blind will see.
