BOWEN - On the 5th inst., in Freedom township, of gangrene, Massa C. Bowen, aged 67 years, 3 months and 9 days.
Mr. Bowen was born in Franklin county, Ohio, and moved to Hancock county in 1848, and from there to Henry county in 1853, settling on the farm where he died and where had lived since he had come into the county. Mr. Bowen in his younger days took quite an active part in his township matters, holding several township positions.
