The wife of John Booher, died Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. She had been ill for many months with cancer of the stomach which affliction was the cause of her death, The funeral was held at the Methodist Church in the presence of a large number of friends Tuesday morning, Rev. Ballmer officiating. The remains were interred in Forest Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Booker was born in Athens county, Ohio, in 1845, making her 47 years of age at her death. She was married to her bereaved husband in 1803. To them were given six children, three of whom are still living.
