BETZ Edna, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Betz was born in Napoleon, Jan. 8th, 1891, and died Feb. 18, 1891, aged 1 month and 10 days. The little flower's existence in this terrestrial sphere was just long enough to teach loving parents the great boon and means of joy an infant is. Its short life was attended with sickness.

There is no death! an angel form
Naked are the earth with silent tread,
And bore our little Edna away,
And then we called her dead.

He leaves our hearts all desolate,
He plucked our fairest sweetest flower,
Transported into bliss she now,
Adorns immortal bowers.

And ever near us though unseen,
Her dear immortal spirit treads,
For all the boundless universe
Is life - she is not dead.
