Fred. Benien, father of J. H. Benien at Okolona, died Monday morning the 4th inst., and was buried Thursday, the funeral being preached at the Lutheran Church near Okolona, Rev. Strauss officiating. The deceased had reached an advanced age and endured but little sickness even up to the time of his death, when he was well on retiring the night previous. Early in the morning the family was called to his room by his labored breathing and but a few minutes after he expired. He was well acquainted in Henry county.
