Beaver. On Oct. 31, 1882, Jacob Beaver, of Damascus township, aged 74 years, 9 months and 23 days. Jacob Beaver was one of the pioneers ofHenry county, arid a resident of Damascus township. On returning home from McClure he was overtaken by the cars and being dull of hearing failed to get off the track in time and the engine struck him, breaking his arm and otherwise injuring him, from the effects of which be died the following Tuesday night. A large concourse of relatives and neighbors gathered at Damascus Church Nov. 2d to offer their condolence to the stricken family in their hour of sad bereavement.
