Obituary:

Seduction and Attempted Abortion. It now turns out that Lena Baum, the young lady who committed suicide last week, was a victim of seduction, her seducer being H. H. Pletcher, of West Cairo, Ohio, who accomplished his hellish ends under promise of marriage. The facts were brought out through certain letters which passed between the seducer and his victim, which letters are now in the hands of the Prosecuting Attorney. In them the condition of miss Baum is admitted by Pletcher and he advises certain medicines as a means of getting rid of her troubles. Upon the disclosures of these letters, and through the advice of numerous friends, Mr. Baum swore out a warrant for Pletcher, charging him with seduction and attempt to procure abortion. The warrant was placed in the hands of Sheriff Aller on Monday, who, through his able deputy, Mr. E. T. Barnes, had his man caged in the Henry county Jail on Tuesday night. The prisoner will have a bearing before Squire Donovan to-day.
