The funeral of Charles Barnhill. whose death occurred Tuesday, March 6th, took place at the Luthern church Friday, it was largely attendedRev.Ryder, of Republic, pastor of the Luthern church of this place officiated.

The following week, March 12, 1888, the following appeared in the Democratic Northwest, p. 8, col. 2:

Ed. Northwest: In the Malinta items of last week, a mistake was made. It should read: 'The funeral of Mrs. Charles Barnhill, whose death occurred Thursday, March 6th, took place at the Lutheran Church on Friday, and was largely attended.' Her age was 19 years. She was the daughter of David Burr. She died in the triumphs of the Christian faith.
