Died, at his home at the [Ridgeville] Corners, Joseph Baer, on Sunday, Aug. 8, 1892. Mr. Baer was born in Lancaster county Penn. Aug. 18, 1815 and died at the Corners Aug. 28 1892 aged 77 years and 10 days. He was married to the wife who now survives him in 1846 and by whom he had eight children, all of whom are living about here. He came to Ridgeville in 1835 and has resided here ever since, living the life of an honest and upright citizen, ever ready to lend a helping hand to all in need or affliction. Mr. Baer united with the U. B. Church about 8 years ago and has continued his membership ever since. In the death of Mr. Baer the family has lost a kind and loving husband and father, and the community a member who will be missed in many ways. The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved family.
