REUNION-A reunion of the Wheeler family, their relatives and friends was held Wednesday, Sept 25, 1901 at the Napoleon Fair Grounds. There were present about two hundred persons, who spent the day in a merry visiting.

When he and his wife moved on their farm there were no roads and it was with difficulty they found the place by following blazed trees. Their children all reside near them on farms except the oldest son James, who lives at Mark Center, OH.
Robert WHEELER was formerly a resident of Henry County, but in 1870 he and his family moved to Elk County, Kansas, and in 1887 he moved from there to Oso, Washington, where he and all his children except one son Clell, now resides.

WHAT IS THIS, ANYWAY?

We’ve been publishing this 1916 Farmer’s Directory for some time now, but for our new members or those who haven’t seen the newsletter before, here’s what you are looking at. The directory lists a name (wife’s name–or perhaps a son or daughter), number of children, occupation, whether the person is an O = owner or T = tenant or bds = boards or ret = retired, how many a = acres they farm, H & L = house and lot, how many h = horses or c = cows they keep, their rural route number, town, township, and telephone company. Names in capitals indicate subscribers of the Farm Journal.
