ACQUISITIONS

The society has just purchased several CDs which will be placed in the Deshler Edwin Wood Memorial Library with our collection. They include: Census index of Ohio, 1880; Local and County Histories of Ohio, 1790-1970 (set of 6 CDs with information on approximately 700,000 residents and their families); Ohio Vital Records #1, 1790s-1970s (incl. marriage, death, cemetery, divorce, indenture, apprenticeship, partition, and naturalization records, indexes to estates, will abstracts, deed abstracts, guardianships with more than 93,000 names from Gateway to the West); andOhio Vital Records #2, 1750s-1880s (from Ohio Cemetery Records, Ohio Marriages, and Ohio Source Records. References approx. 70,000 names in marriage, Bible, and land records, family histories, will abstracts, settlements of estates, tax lists, newspaper abstracts, local histories, and gravestone inscriptions).

CORRECTION TO BARTLOW AND RICHFIELD TWP. CEMETERY BOOK

Page 93, which lists the Richfield Twp. (Laremore) Cemetery, Section B, Row 1, #41 should read:
COLLIER, Isaac (G.A.R. Marker) Co. A 128th Ohio Infantry
He is buried next to his daughter, Effie SIPE (1869-1951) and her husband, R. Frank SIPE (1865-1941). The gravestone was evidently too worn to read it correctly.
