Help With Youngs Cemetery Obituaries
If you do a retrieval on a name, you will see a screen that looks something like this:

The burial site is marked Part, Section, Lot, Grave Number.
Youngs Cemetery is divided into four parts. Part 1 is to the north and part 4 is in the south. Each part has its own alphabetical listing. Infants and children under 7 years are listed last in each part,
The Lot numbers used are the same as when started years ago. The first letter is the section. Next is the lot number. The last number is the grave number (1-4), going from left to right. In a few cases, it may be over 4. The grave number is used where there is no stone.
If the column on the far right says Available, you can click on the link and see a transcription of the obituary. If the column says "Pending," the obit has not yet been transcribed. If that is the case, email me and I will transcribe it and let you know when it's available. If that field is blank, and the death date is prior to 2000, there simply is no obituary for that person. You're welcome to email us to check on the availability of any obit, and if it is available, we will transcribe it for you.
Please note: We do not have the exact publication date for many of the obits, just the year. We hope to correct that in the near future.
