Obituary
Warren Otis Zollars, born on Sept. 29, 1870 in Massilon, O., was called from this life on Thursday, July 9 at 6 a.m. at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 10 days.
He enjoyed fair health until Feb. 1959 at which time he suffered a stroke and was in the Napoleon Hospital for one month and afterwards was moved to the Cunningham Rest Home on E. Clinton St., in Napoleon until the time of his departure.
Most of his life he lived in Liberty Township, making his abode on the same farm where he suffered a stroke.
Otis was married to Elizabeth Jane Crawford on June 6, 1908, and they lived happily together for about 51 years.
Otis was a member of the Liberty Chapel Evangelical United Brethren Church, confessing his faith in the living Christ. This brought much comfort to his soul, especially in the latter months of his life.
Among the bereaved are his beloved wife, Elizabeth residing in the Mary Silveus Rest Home. Also one brother-in-law, Homer Crawford of Napoleon.
Otis will be remembered as a kind, loving and loyal citizen greatly respected by all, a dear husband as Mrs. Zollars referred to him often as a good man indeed; he was a blessed neighbor, as one neighbor said, "No better man was around.” Otis was a true friend indeed to all who knew him.
God's providence has greatly blessed such a life, and there was real inspiration to be his friend.
Funeral services were held in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with the Rev. B. C. Krugh officiating, on Saturday, July 11, 2 p.m. with interment in the Young Cemetery, Liberty Center, O.
