Earl N. Wright, son of Charles M. and Julia A. Wright, was born Dec. 19, 1881, in Liberty township, Henry county, O., and passed from this life on May 14, 1940, at the age of 58 years, 4 months, 26 days.
On March 7, 1903, he was united in marriage with Miss Blanche Sworden, and to them were born two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Brubaker of Findlay, and Miss Doris Wright, of Columbus, O.
All through life Mr. Wright was industrious, efficiently farming his own and his father’s land. The neatness and beauty of his home and the quality of his land testify to his farsighted farm program and the industry that made him make that farm and home a little better each year he lived. Surely he had the Christian ideal of accepting his portion of land as a trust from God, for he did his best to leave all that came under his managership much “better than he found it.”
Mr. Wright also served his community in various positions of public service. This, too, is Christian, that one should be interested in the growth and development of his entire community, so interested that he will share and serve to that end.
The brevity of his illness, the unexpectedness of his passing will add to the sense of their loss, not alone for the family, but for the community as well.
Those who shall miss him most in the days and years to come are: his wife, his two daughters, his parents, his two sisters: Mrs. Mertie Orme of Napoleon and Mrs. Neva Bichan of Liberty Center; his one grandson, Robert Lee Brubaker, several aunts and an uncle, and a host of close friends and other relatives.
May we so appreciate some of his fine qualities of character that we find those virtues growing in us.
