Charles M. Wright, son of John and Catherine Wright, was born on a farm in Fulton county, O., on Dec. 27, 1863.
He was the second eldest of a family of eight children.
He was unted in marriage with Julia Ann Rogers, and to this union were born three children: Earl, who preceded him in death May 14, 1940; Mrs. Mertie Orme, Napoleon; and Mrs. Neva Bichan, Liberty Center. He is also survived by his bereaved companion of almost forty-six years; five grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. R. S. Leist, Toledo; Mrs. Chase Reid, Detroit; and Mrs. Weltha Cornelius, Orlando, Fla., and a large circle of relatives and friends.
He was a prominent farmer of Liberty township and lived on the farm for many years.
He retired from the farm and moved to Liberty Center, where he lived until his death in his home last Friday night.
He was a loving and devoted husband and father, a man of high moral standards, a good neighbor and citizen, and proved himself as such by serving his community as township trustee, director of the Liberty bank and as a member of the school board.
Services were held from the home on Maple Ave. Monday afternoon. Last rites in charge of the Rev. David L. Eichar. The Walter funeral home, the morticians, with burial in Young's mausoleum.
