Lucy Willis, 80, Liberty Center, died this morning (Tuesday) at Country View Haven in Napoleon.
Born in Fulton County on Aug. 21, 1907, she was the daughter of Lewis and Blanch (Miller) Spiess. On April 7, 1928, she married Lee Willis, and he preceded her in death in July of 1966.
A member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Willis had been a dressmaker for Hudson’s of Detroit. She also sewed and did alterations from her home.
Surviving are three sisters, Doris Bargeman of Napoleon, Luella Palmer of Kenton, Ohio, and Mary Ernsberger of Liberty Center; and three brothers, Lloyd 'Tam' Spiess of Napoleon and Clyde 'Obie' and Lewis 'Bud' Spiess, both of Liberty Center.
Also preceding her in death were seven brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Rev. William Goff officiating. Interment will be in Young Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, after 7 p.m. Wednesday and after 2 p.m. Thursday.
