Robert Weis, 63, of Liberty Center died Sunday at the St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Born in Liberty Center Aug. 10, 1930, be was the son of Victor and Dalah (Wilson) Weis. On May 10, 1951, be married Carolyn Carver, who survives.
He had been an inspector at GM Central Foundry in Defiance for 27 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of Liberty Center's St. Paul Lutheran Church, V.F.W. and Boosters Club and the Napoleon AMVETS, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Also surviving are three sons, James of Liberty Center, Roger of Napoleon and Thomas of Stryker; two brothers, David of Venice, Fla., and Gary of Napoleon; two sisters, Nina Pomorski and Mary VanCleve, both of Toledo; seven grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, Rev. William Thompson officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be accorded by the Liberty Center V.F.W.
Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home in Liberty Center after 7 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
