Glen Watson, 62, Flat Rock, Mich., passed away last week in the Veterans Hospital at Dearborn, Mich.
Born in Henry County, he had llved in Flat Rock about 25 years. During that time he was an employee of the Detroit Toledo & Ironton Railroad. Mr. Watson was a World War I veteran and member of the VFW and Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are daughters, Lillian, Norma, Maxine, Betty Ann, Ella May and Glenna, all of Flat Rock; sisters, Mrs. Doris Sheets New Boston, Mich.; Mrs. Ruelma Warner, Saginaw, Mich.; Mrs. Vivian Brodbeck, Archbold; Mrs. Edna Corwin, Liberty Center, and Mrs. Naomi Starkey, Napoleon; brothers, Kenneth, McClure; Harold, Defiance; Doyle, Leipsic, and Olen, Toledo; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday a 2:30 p.m. in the Liberty Center Methodist Church, followed by rites at Young Cemetery under direction of the Liberty Center VFW.

Glenn M. Watson, son of tihe late Howard and Eva Watson, was born on Jan. 18, 1897 in Harrison Township, Henry County, O. He was married to Ludia Woodward, April 11, 1922 and to this union were born one son and six daughters. His parents, wife and son Julian preceded him in death. Surviving are daughters: Lillian Cicotte, Lincoln Park, Mich.; Glenna Watson, Bettyann Gudith, Ellamae Lizyness, Flat Rock, Mich.; thirteen grandchildren, four brothers: Kenneth, McClure; Harold, Defiance; Doyle, Leipsic; and Olin, Toledo; five sisters: Doris Sheats, New Boston, Mich.; Ruelma Warner, Saginaw, Mich.; Edna Corwin, Liberty Center; Vivian Brodbeck, Archbold, and Naomi Starkey, Napoleon and aunt Dorcas Robinson, Liberty Center and many other relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Armed Forces of World War I, Masonic Lodge F.A.M. No. 518. Liberty Center; the VFW Post No. 9368, Flat Rock, Mich., in March 1929 and worked for the D. T. and I. Railroad until his retirement fire years ago.
Services were conducted Saturday morning, May 2 at Flat Rock and at 2 o’clock in the afternoon in the Liberty Center Methodist Church with Rev. David L. Elchar officiating. The VFW stood as color guards and conducted that final firing squad, flag presentation and taps at the cemetery.
