Benjamin W. Warner was born of Quaker parentage near Buffalo, New York, March 8, 1829, and died at the home of his son, A. J. Warner, near Texas, Ohio, May 8, 1909, aged 80 years and 2 months.
Mr. Warner was married to Sharah Quaintance near Bucyrus, Ohio, October 7, 1852, and was engaged in the flour milling business in Crawford and Seneca Counties until the spring of 1880, when he with his family came to Henry County and located on the St. John farm at Damascus.
During his residence in this this vicinity he endeared himself to all with whom he came in contact and was regarded by all as an exemplary citizen in and a worthy man in all respects. He was the father of six children: two daughters having preceded him into the spirit land; four sons being left to mourn the loss of one of the best fathers.
Funeral services were held in the M. E. church at Liberty Center Tuesday, May 11th, Rev. W. H. Smith officiating. Interment in Young’s Cemetery.
