Lillie E. Woodward, daughter of Adolphus and Electa Redman, was born January 3rd, 1879. Was marrled to Guy Woodward September 16th, 1900. Her husband was taken away from her by the relentless hand of death, March 20th, 1901, six months after their marrlage. Lillie has lived In widowhood, with her parents until the grim messenger claimed her as his victim, April 6th, 1908, when she! went to sleep In the arms of the Saviour to awaken in morning of tho resurrectlon and feast her eyes upon the beautiful vision of heaven. She was converted at the age of eighteen, at the Hebron Chapel and united with the Christian Union at Olive Chapel, west of Liberty Center, under the pastorate of Rev. J. T. Lowe. At the time of her demise, she was 29 years, 3 months and 3 days old. She leaves to mourn her departure father, mother and three brothers, Harley, Clyde, and Harry, besides other relatives and a large number of loved and loving friends. She was a member of Blanche Olive Temple Pythian Sisterhood, No. 258, Liberty Center, Ohio.
Lillie was of a loving disposition and will be greatly missed, in the neighborhood, in the church, and in the Lodge, but most of all in the home where she has been a loving and dutiful daughter and in the home perhaps most by her mother, with whom she sustained such a close and intimate relationship that they seemed inseparable companions. As the lillie is the emblem of purity and nobility so her name seems to have been significant of her life and character. As we gather the lillies to gladden the hearts of the children of men, so the great gardener has gathered to himself this Lillie, that she may bloom in the eternal Paradise of God, to gladden the saviour she dearly loved and fervently served.
Funeral at M. E. church, Liberty, 2 p. m., Wednesday, April 8th, 1908, conducted by Rev. W. H. Baker assisted by Revs. Smith and Miller, to a very large concourse of relatives and friends. The Pythian Sisterhood attended In a body.
