In Memoriam
One morning, hardly known to the hurrying, busy crowd, a Christian slipped quietly away to her peaceful eternal home. This Christian was Emma M. Woodward, who was born on July 19, 1875 in Washington Township, Henry County, Ohio, and left for her eternal reward on Feb. 22. 1962 from the Heller Memorial Hospital, Napoleon, O., at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 3 days.
At the age of 19, Emma was united in marriage to Mr. Harry Hudson, who preceded her in death. Two children were born to this union, Charles Hudson of Sherwood, O., and a daughter, who preceded her mother at the age of twelve years. Later in life, in September 1902, she was married to Mr. Jason Woodward and to this union were born six children, three of whom preceded their mother in death.
Those remaining are: Mrs. Amy Reimund, Richard Woodward and Mrs. Lottie Mohler, all of Liberty Center; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many friends.
Emma was a member of St. John's Reformed Church and a fine Christian woman. She also was a very kind and gracious mother, a highly respected citizen of our community who contributed much to its betterment by her high moral life. She also was a member of the Pythian Sisters.
