Napoleon, Sept. 14. Harry Turner, 26, Detroit, Toledo & Ironton fireman, was instantly killed by his own engine, in the yards here, early this morning. He had left the cab to get a wick, and, on his return, it is presumed, slipped and fell, just as Engineer Jno. McElroy backed the engine. His neck was broken and both legs and left arm cut off. He leaves a widow and one child.
Mr. Turner was a son-in-law of Mrs. Art Day, of this place. The body was brought here Monday afternoon and interment made in Young’s cemetery.
